So, um, you know, I wanted to start, um, where all, um, uh, intellectual conversation should start.

Um, in, uh, what 2011, I think, and I recall us sitting on a balcony drinking beers and you were talking about writing this book.

Um, or we turned out to be this book.

And the way you said it at the time was, and this was a long before Trump, you said, um, well, I have this basic theory

that what people think about polarization, you know, is wrong.

This basically goes all the way back to the Dead Sea Christ.

That's what this is.

And I was like, wow, that's really great.

You really need to write that book.

That should be, do you mind me saying this?

I remember you telling me for a long time, I need to write this book.

What you're saying now is totally messing with my personal narrative of when I came up with the idea for what became this book.
