1:18.0	So, cybersecurity for space, what is it? What are the threats to space systems?
1:25.0	And why is there such an emphasis on it right now?
1:29.0	And what are people doing about it?
1:31.0	Well, let's start off with the basics here. What are the threats
1:35.4	facing space systems? Well when you're working with cutting edge hard to replace
1:40.8	and dare I mention it expensive systems a lot of people need those
1:46.4	systems to stay working and there are also people with less than great intentions
1:51.3	who may want to shut them down or steal the information on how they work or what they're looking at.
1:59.0	And I'm going to bring in a chat I had with Renee Wynne, the former CIO of NASA, andsecurity is a serious threat to national security and to personal security.
2:24.0	So yeah, satellites can be hacked.
2:27.0	So if you're a scientist and you're depending upon
2:32.0	satellite data coming down to write your papers or make
2:35.1	discoveries or inform your models about space and that, then you need the highest integrity of data and you need that assurance.
