Hey everybody I know that you know I've been trying to at least trying to I should say

Not that I haven't been that religious about it, but I've been trying to get these podcasts out

Every Monday, but this one was I spent the week in in Iowa at an event called

ragbry which I know that that is a really weird name and probably not doesn't make sense to most people but

ragbry is a is an acronym for the Register's annual great bike ride across Iowa. So the newspaper, the big, the largest

newspaper in Iowa, which is the Des Moines Register, started this event 40 plus

years ago and it's kind of grown. I mean I think in the beginning

there just had a few people, not a few but a few you know maybe a hundred people that

came out and did it they rode across the state every year and it's grown and grown and

it's ended up becoming, as you'll come to discover during this podcast, it's ended up

becoming not only the largest by annual bike ride in the world, but it's

become certainly the largest annual tourist event in the state of Iowa.

So whenever you're listening to this and you hear

ragbry, just know that ragb

in your own mind is the Register's annual great bike right across Iowa.

And my guest tonight is T.J. Jessica Witts, who's been the director for I think 14 years and you know

TJ is is a great guy and I went for my first time 10 years ago and he I met him for the first time there but we were so involved on the

cancer side via Live Strong and trying to really engage the political process to pay attention to our

disease, for lack of a better terminology on a national political perspective or landscape and trying to and we

know that you know that Iowa is an important state for these candidates so we

figured if we could go to Iowa, ride bikes,

get people there engage that that would ultimately morph into the candidates making cancer
