To the ceasefire, so-called, north of Israel in Lebanon, against Hezbollah forces now said to be

observing the ceasefire. However, within the last 24 hours, there were two mortar rounds tossed into northern Israel.

The 60,000 or so residents of northern Israel are reluctant to say not yet risk-taking to return to their homes.

begin with the ceasefire holding question mark and the IAF, IDF response,

as they said it would, intense to those mortar rounds.

I don't ask about the ceasefire.

I ask about the two mortar rounds.

They could be rogue elements. They could be a test of

Israel's determination. What is what is the IDF do in response to provocations such as yesterday?

Good evening to you. Good evening, John. Yeah, I think what we're hearing right now is that the Israelis

are going to respond to every infraction as a very serious matter.

The idea is that they are going to enforce the ceasefire to the last letter.

This is, of course, explained in what we discussed last week as a side letter that was

issued to the Israelis by the United States,

a full understanding that the Israelis cannot and will not allow for any transgression by

Hezbollah, that they need to be held to account, which is what the Israelis did not do for many

years after the 2006 war, where a ceasefire was supposed to be in place, but never was.
