Well, 13 years after the Syrian Revolution began,

Assad is still committing war crimes and crimes against atrocities

against his own people.

And 13 years after the beginning of the atrocities against his own people.

And 13 years after the beginning of the war, the West has largely forgotten about the

Syria conflict.

And unfortunately, the Syrians have not forgotten and they're begging the United States to do what it said it was going to do, which is to keep the pressure on Assad and to keep the pressure on those who would help normalize Assad until or unless he stops the atrocities.

And the way that the U.S. government does that is chiefly through sanctions.
