I welcome my colleagues, Bill Rajo, a senior fellow foundation for the defense of democracy,

and our colleague, Bill's colleague at the Long World Journal, Akamad Shirari, filing routinely

about the whole of the story, not just in and around the octopus arms,

but the whole of the story of the transformation of the Levant into competing factions,

some of which are major world powers, other which are regional powers, and then there are

those who have been armed to do the surrogate work. I'm looking particularly right now at Syria,

a province in the southernmost part of the country, Sweda, bordering Jordan. And Ahmed has reported

carefully in these hours of the Bedouins of

Syria launching strikes against the Druze of Syria, the Bedouins supported by, we're told,

Syrian National Army. That was then. Now, day two or three, we have a report from the Wall Street

Journal in this fashion. Israel's warplane struck Syria's military headquarters in Damascus,

escalating its intervention in sectarian strife involving the Druze, a community with a foot in both countries,

the attack in the Syrian capital followed a wave of Israeli airstrikes on Syrian government tanks,

military convoys, and positions over the past two days of violence that began the clashes between local

Jews and Bedouin populations. Israel says it is intervening in the skirmishes to protect

Syrian Druze who have strong ties to Israeli's Druze community. That's as of right now.

Ahmed, I come to you because it seems,

it occurs to me that striking a convoy of tanks and armored cars is not the same level

as striking the headquarters of the defense ministry of the state of Syria in Damascus.

Al-Shara, the man who named himself president, that's his defense ministry.
