The fourth weekday of the 2023, Synod on Synodality, is in the books.

We're not exactly sure what happened on Saturday there.

They do sometimes run the Synod proceedings on Saturday.

But we had Wednesday, Thursday, Friday of last week.

It opened on Wednesday the 4th. And now

Monday is in the books. That's one of the conveniences of being seven hours behind here,

Central Standard Time. There's some hilarious updates to be had. For instance, Father James

Martin, S.J. ran a presentation for the beginning of module

two. And as Michael Haynes tweets, participants of Synod 23 arrived to the Vatican's

Paul the sixth audience hall for the second module, including James Martin, Cardinal Roche, and Cardinal Mario Gresh,

who announces that numbers are lower today due to COVID and suggest using hand sanitizer and wearing masks.

Now, when I first read this, I'm still not sure it's a wrong interpretation, but I thought this meant that Father James Martin S.J.

was due to present the second module.

I'm not certain that's what it means unless that's what you've heard.

But the numbers are lower.

And I was initially thinking they were running cope to explain why the numbers were low for a Father

James Martin S.J presentation. It could just be that the numbers are low because this synodon

synodality is a total sham. Either way, it's hilarious they're having to cope in the fourth weekday session of the

Synod. Michael Haynes also reported around the same time that some 350 people currently in

Vatican's Paul the Sixth Hall for the Synod in 2023, the emphasis here is on themes of listening communion inclusion, and they've all been made in the presentations today.

The event is not paused for the traditional Catholic prayer of the Angeles at noon.
