Welcome back to the mind meld and happy holidays, my fellow sentient sacks of stardust.

And I suppose the fact that I'm saying that means that according to the calendar, we

are once again approaching that novel bit of chronos, that moment when a new segment

of the samsaric cycle starts all over again, when the yearly uraboro swallows its own

tale, and we are afforded the opportunity to think, wait, what the fuck am I doing again?

How has the momentum of the coercive capitalistic hamster wheel pinned my soul to the wall of

doom this time?

Over the last 365 days, gleeful opening, I know, but hey, no reflection equals no change.

So, and I would actually argue that it's not as dark as it may sound, because the flipside

of that reflection is hope, excitement, potential metamorphosis in the coming year.

And as coincidence would have it, I think this mind meld with the wise, wonderful Chris

Ryan is a potent distillation of that exact reflective pregnant with possibility energy,

because it is largely about taking a look at this modern muck that we're all stuck in,

this inertia of habit and obligation we all have going.

And the fact that we must question it, perhaps even loathe it a little so that we can move

forward more mindfully, purposefully, more rooted in the things that really matter and

speak to our souls.

But as usual, that doesn't even begin to summarize this one.

And I won't even try, but I will say that Chris is just such a knowledgeable, passionate,

experienced human being just bursting with eloquence.

So it was a pleasure to finally have him in the mind meld to surf some really big questions

with him about everything from synchronicity and the nature of mind to the pitfalls of progress
