The New Year is such a weird time.

Such a bittersweet cocktail of melancholy and hope and possibility and regret potent

stimulating stuff and speaking of stimulation, but also onto more relevant matters.

One of the things that I've been perpetually stimulated by is the budding phenomenon

of what some people call the psychedelic renaissance or the third wave of psychedelics, whatever

moniker you find best describes it.

And I've been enamored with it for years really now, for a multitude of reasons.

Of course, in general, these molecules are immensely powerful, they've really impacted

my life personally, so I literally can't help myself from commenting, watching and speculating

about it.

Obviously, I've done a great deal of that on the show over the last five or so years.

And I continue to just be staggered in general by how rapidly it's all unfolding, by

how quickly the narrative has shifted, the wave of psychedelic decriminalization has

occurred.

The clinical breakthroughs with psilocybin and MDMA, it really seems like this psychedelic

tsunami is just unstoppable and as crazy as it is, I think we're still in its absolute

infancy.

I think this wave has a long way to go and we haven't even begun to see what the psychic

impact of that wave is going to be on society at large, on the psyche of all of us at large.

And as much as I'm tempted to predict or prognosticate about what that impact will collectively
