off. Other than that, the news cycle is what you would expect it to be a complete and utter

crap show. Now, the show isn't going to be crappy. The show is going to be great. But what

we have in this country is just an endless violence spree, mass shooting sprees. We have

yet another mass shooting in the same week as the tragic Colorado shooting. So we will

talk about what happened in Virginia at a Walmart in a little bit. We're also going to have

a wonderful guest on today, Luke Savage, who's a writer over at Jacobin and who has also

published a book titled The Dead Center. We'll talk to him about the current state of the

Democratic Party and the path forward for the left. In the second hour, John Eiderola

will join me to talk about how the largest and most powerful lobbying group for senior

citizens in this country is trying to privatize Medicare. Believe it or not, the ARP is behind

it. We'll tell you how and why in just a bit that comes up in the second hour of the show.
