That's what Utah's governor Spencer Cox said in announcing

that the shooter of Charlie Kirk is in custody, is in jail, has in fact confessed.

I got in the car this morning, driving to work, and all of a sudden I hear this breaking news.

Now the breaking news was broken by President Trump.

He was in New York.

He was in the studio of Fox and Friends.

So talking about a whole bunch of subjects, but he said he had just been briefed.

And with a high degree of certainty, the president said, the suspect is in custody.

And the way, the speed, the sheer velocity at which this whole thing has moved against the backdrop of the just heartbreaking

tragedy of the assassination of Charlie Kirk has really been something and the extent to which the FBI work with local law enforcement in Utah.

I figured he couldn't have gotten that far. By the way, again, we don't need any buzzers today.

Couldn't have gotten that far because, you know, the FBI and the locals, you know, put out pictures, not perfect pictures, but pictures of him, so probably couldn't get on a plane. It's an amazing tale, really. And I've got to say, I thought that the governor was pretty eloquent in saying, you know, is this a turning point to use the name of Charlie Kirk's group?
