But first, the big idea.

The 21-year-old suspect in shootings at three Atlanta area spas has been charged with

eight counts of murder and homicide and one count of aggravated assault.

The post-Polina Ferrosi reports that six Asian women died in the attacks, prompting

widespread concern that the killings could be the latest in a surge of hate crimes against

Asian Americans.

The suspect told investigators that he had a quote, sexual addiction, and that the spas

wear a quote, temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate.

Police say it's still too early to be certain that the slangs were not racially motivated.

The police arrested the suspect shortly after he rampaged through the three massage parlors,

killing eight and injuring others.

At the time of the arrest, he was reportedly on his way to Florida to carry out additional

shootings.

These fatal shootings have turned a spotlight on a disturbing trend of the past year.

Times against people of Asian descent have risen sharply in the US, along with online

slurs blaming them for the COVID pandemic.

Although the authorities say the alleged shooter does not appear to have been motivated
