In 2012,

In 2024, Wheaton College emailed its constituents, stating for the first time why the college had fired former administrator Dennis Massaro more than two decades

earlier. According to the email, Massaro was fired when allegations involving improper sexual

touching of students were reported to the college. But the allegations involved not just improper

sexual touching, but criminal sexual assault.

The email also stated that Wheeton had hired a firm to review what led to Masaro's dismissal

because the college had recently received further information.

But according to Masaro's ex-wife, Kathy Gallagher,

Wheaton College President Phil Reichen knew everything a decade earlier because she told him.

I just said, Phil, you've got to be the hero of the story. You can be the hero. It wasn't your

presidency. You could bring this into light. You can tell the truth, publish the truth. You can tell my daughters the truth. You can see if

there are other victims be the hero. But instead of being the hero, Reichen became the villain.

He called me back and he had talked to the lawyer and he said these things had never happened in Wheaton.

And in this part two of my interview with Kathy, you'll hear the tragic consequences of

Whedon's betrayal and cowardice as Masaro reportedly continued to abuse.
