I have kind of been beating the drum about how so many American, so much of the American youth is really ignorant about what goes on everywhere else in the world.

And we constantly hear them talking about a need for social justice for obscure causes like bathroom signs.

And then I say if they ever went anywhere else, another country, if they ever went to another, if they ever went to another continent like Africa and saw the way other people lived, they would have a different perspective.

I want to start with your story growing up in North Korea. I know that you escaped when you were 13, but can you just paint a picture for us of what it was like before then?

I think North Korea is like a different planet.

Like right now we sit here, we don't even know what internet is. We don't even have electricity.

Like daily, if we make it to lunch, we are not sure if we're going to find food for the dinner.

If you make that day, we are not sure if we're going to be alive tomorrow.

So every day is just looking for food.

And I think that's how North Korea is still living in its complete man-made.

It's like in the Hunger Games, dictator decided to starve us.

And right now, North Korean men are actually 4.6 inch.

So actually you are like seeing one of the tallest North Koreans right now.

Wow, so they're only 4 feet, 6 inches tall is the average size of a North Korean.

Military, yes. And that's just from years and years of malnutrition.

Wow. And so when you were growing up, you said you had no access to internet.

So did you think this is just the way everybody lives?
