He's telling me how everything works. He's like, listen, we got 10 phones.

0:21.3

And Mesa will come up, give you their IDs, and you make a group of 10, put it right there. It's like group A, let's say. Grab another 10, that's group B. Then you call them up, hand their IDs back to them. They get on the phone, and then just the cycle continues. I'm like, okay, I think I can do that. You know, it's pretty simple. Well,

0:28.5

the yard is a loud place, yelling, screaming, stuff always happening. So I got probably 10, 20 cards,

0:35.1

ID cards in my hand. Everybody's on a bleacher waiting to use the phones and start talking to one guy. And I don't even know what the conversation was about,

0:37.8

but I was starting to like, you know, fidget with my hands kind of.

0:41.9

Not even thinking I take the ID cards and I start shuffling them like a deck of cards.

0:46.5

Not even thinking that they were all in order for the phone.

0:51.3

And as soon as I did that, there's about 20 of the biggest dudes I've ever seen stand up

0:57.1

on the bleachers and just like it instantly because they all lost their spots on how to get

1:02.6

on the phone.

1:10.5

Sam, welcome to Locked in. You came all the way from Elmira, New to Lockton.

1:12.0

You came all the way from Elmira, New York, probably our 10th or 15th guest from that upstate New York area.

1:19.3

Yep, that's what you were saying.

1:22.1

You know, kind of small towns up there, but also a lot going on.

1:26.0

Yeah.

1:26.5

So my family's in Rochester. So I go,

1:29.0

I think you go out that way to get to Rochester, right? Yes. Kind of Al-Mira and then Ithaca's

1:34.5

out that way? Yep. Yep. So, yeah, those are a couple bigger cities. Yeah, from Rochester,

1:39.5

probably an hour and a half, an hour. Yeah, I was there last week in Rochester, but I flew. Oh, yeah. It was easier,

1:47.2

but on the way back, I got stuck. It was like an eight-hour trip back because there was like

1:51.9

flight delays and then the plane got deplained and mechanical issues flying out of Rochester.

1:57.8

Okay, well, that doesn't even compensate that for making good time getting there. Exactly, exactly. That was actually my first time flying to Rochester. Okay. Pretty short trip, but then they got me on the way home like that, so I was screwed. Yeah. Did you grow up in Elmira? I grew up just outside of Almira, Horseds. Horsesds. of Horses, New York. It's got to be pretty small. Yeah, it's fair size, you know. So, but yeah, that's where I grew up, born and raised, and I was always going to tell myself, you know, I'm not going to stay in this town where I grow up. You know, I'm going to spread my wings and do all that. So, but now I got a family and, and I'm still there, 34 years later. I think everyone kind of says that. Like, when I was growing up in high school, everyone's like, let's get out of Danbury. And I said that too. Exactly. And even up until I think probably in the last year, I made the decision that I'm going to stay here for a while
