Summary

The New Discourses Podcast with James Lindsay, Episode 104 One of the most famous and most evil techniques of Maoist Marxism is the "struggle session" (dòuzhēng, 鬥爭; or pīpàn dòuzhēng, 批判鬥爭, “critical struggle”; or sometimes just pīdòu, 批鬥; also called “denunciation” sessions). They were made famous during Mao's Cultural Revolution (1966-1976), but they were utilized in the Chinese thought-reform (xǐnǎo, 洗脑, lit. "wash brain" or brainwashing) prisons starting in the early 1950s under the CCP. The nature of struggle sessions must be understood clearly in 2022 because Western nations are going through a "Woke" Maoist insurgency now, and the struggle session is all the way back in fashion (and has been for some time). Since being banned and returning to Twitter following Elon Musk's acquisition, host of the New Discourses Podcast, James Lindsay, has been subjected to a rather brutal online struggle session (a "twitter storm" as a harassment campaign) in the attempt to punish him back off the site and to discredit his highly effective popularization of the term "groomer" for Maoist ideological groomers, especially those using Queer Marxism. In this groundbreaking episode of the podcast, James goes through the struggle session he's currently experiencing while tying it to the psychological analysis of that phenomenon as presented in Robert Jay Lifton's book Thought Reform and the Psychology of Totalism: A Study of "Brainwashing" in China (https://amzn.to/3ulwEkf/). Join him to learn about this destructive form of bullying activism and to learn how you can resist it. talk about struggle sessions. Most of you will know just to frame this out. I wanted to start

0:34.5

dramatically, but I never do. To frame this out, most of you will recognize that I had been

0:40.4

banished from Twitter for what somebody tells me is 105 days. I've been back on Twitter for a

0:45.7

couple of weeks. My time back on Twitter hasn't exactly been pleasant virtually immediately within

0:53.1

a day or two of getting back on a very relentless struggle session campaign, smear campaign against

0:59.6

me was initiated. It appears that the coordinators of this smear campaign are definitely the

1:06.7

mashable journalist by the name of Matt Binder and possibly in collaboration with the

1:13.8

trans individual who got me kicked off Twitter in the first place in his very upset that I got

1:18.6

back on by the name, the going by the name Alejandra Caraballo, which is code name for Alejandro

1:27.9

Caraballo, which is this gentleman's real name. It's been picked up all over the place. I'm

1:36.0

asked to explain myself all over the place. You probably saw the picture. There's not really

1:43.1

a lot of need to talk about the picture. I guess I can tell the story, but there was a picture

1:46.4

that was posted of me maybe, I don't know, tens of thousands, maybe over a hundred thousand times

1:54.0

and reply to virtually everything I did by hundreds or thousands of accounts. If you wonder, Twitter

2:00.8

support, I was in contact with them and they told me that they could find no rule-bank

2:05.6

breaking with regard to spam whatsoever with this. So things are going great over there with

2:13.9

Elon and his level of discernment, but nevertheless. I actually want to break down the process

2:20.8

of going through a struggle session while it's fresh. I don't actually have time to be recording

2:25.1

this right now. I have something I'm working on and a deadline, which I usually don't have a

2:30.1

deadline, but this time I have a deadline and it's coming up short on me, especially with all this
