We actually passed it and we enacted it. And so it's the end of the

NSA's bulk collection of Americans phone records. I think that was overdue. It marks the first major

reform of surveillance laws in decades. The sort of reform doesn't come

quickly or easily.

I don't even want to try to count the number of meetings off the floor of the House and the Senate, in the

halls, telephone calls over the over the weekends but Republicans and Democrats came together.
