Hi everyone and welcome to episode 112 of the Holding Court podcast. Today we're going to talk about a surprise I recently pulled off, assess the new MLB rules so far, and read some listener reviews, all coming up right now on Holding Court. You know I love. You know I love surprises.

Yeah, you're really, really, really, really good at them.

I think the way my mind works, and I'll get into my recent surprise.

But I think the way that I think of every possible

outcome in every scenario which is also probably why I deal with extreme anxiety at all times

is you have anxiety what I think it allows me to have surprises on my resume as a top skill.

Yeah, I mean, I remember my 30th birthday.

Do you?

Yeah, I do, actually.

So on Mother's Day, I had the idea to go home to Indiana, which is now a lot closer than it would be if we're in

California. So I booked the flight and wanted to surprise my mom at breakfast and then wanted to

take her down to this place called Indiana Beach, which if you haven't been, so, so sorry. It is this amusement

park. I would kind of compare it to what, like a Coney Island, like an elevated Coney Island. I'm saying

this as if you've been there. Obviously, you're not allowed to go anywhere in the summer, and it's

only open in the summer. But it's on this beautiful lake in Indiana.

And it's about an hour or so from my hometown. But they were only open 12 to 8. And the way

that Indiana is structured is our county and the county right next to us are the only counties on central time.

And then the entire rest of the state is on Eastern.

That's so weird.

And they're only open from 12 to 8.

So I needed to obviously take my mom to breakfast.

And then we needed to leave pretty soon because you already, it's over an hour drive, hour time change.
