Hey everybody. I'm excited to be recording the 21st episode of the All Things Fishing podcast this week.

And this week, I'm continuing the series I'm doing about surf fishing.

Before I start the show this week, I was thinking about ideas for episodes for the podcast.

I just want to let you guys know, the next few episodes are probably going to be about choosing

waiters and about trout fishing. I actually just recently went on my first, went on the first fishing trip I've

ever been on that. I actually had a chance of catching a trout. I went with a good friend I fish

with a lot. I'll have to get him on the podcast here sometime. But yeah, we didn't catch any fish.

Awesome trip, though. We had a lot of fun. So this week's episode, like I said,

is about surf fishing, specifically how to make and use the pyramid rig. So first off,

what you need is a large hook, really large or small, doesn't matter, depending on what size

fish you're going for, and how much bait you want to shove on that hook.

And for the leader that's going to be holding the hook and the, uh, hook and the pyramid

sinker onto the, holding those two things together. Um, as for those, as for that, you're going to want, obviously, wire for sharks or bluefish,

two fish that have strong sharp teeth, and if it's something like a striper that doesn't really have teeth,

just a really strong monofilment line.

Also, you're going to need strong two and three-way swivels.

Like, obviously, you probably know what a regular swivel is, regular two-way swivel is.

I actually don't have any three-way swivels. I need to get some. They're pretty useful.
