| 0:36.2 | a couple of notations on things that are going on. Two, principally, one, because of the resignation of Kennedy, people have missed the significance of the Janus decision by the Supreme Court. |

| 0:54.0 | Public servants, public, civil servants. |
| 0:57.0 | To me, this means teachers unions. |
| 0:59.0 | This can free up the teachers to do things they haven't done before. First they won't |
| 1:04.8 | be compelled to support the political activities of unions which almost always go |
| 1:09.4 | and vote to the left. Second, resources can now be used in other ways. Let me give you an example, just a quick |
| 1:16.2 | example. Because the way it works now, people being compelled to pay these dues into an organization which then collectively bargains for them. |
| 1:25.6 | The organization says these are our priorities and if people disagree it's tough they still have to |
| 1:34.7 | support financially. Well one policy that the unions have put in place most in most |
| 1:38.9 | places is last hired first released. If you were hired to be a teacher last year and there need to be layoffs |
| 1:49.2 | Then you're the first to go not on the merits not on the basis of who's good, who's great, but simply on the |
| 1:55.1 | basis of what the union says, which is, uh, last tired first fired. Ah, that's a crazy policy. |
