prosecutor, a practicing lawyer, and a legal analyst. And I'm joined by my friend

Patty Vasquez. The host of the Patty Vasquez show who joins us regularly on this podcast.

So, Patty, I have to say, for many folks, and I think for all of us, really, this ruling came as a bit of a surprise.

People did not expect a ruling on the shadow docket that effectively ends the

constitutional right for women in Texas to obtain an abortion. You know I am it's not that I'm not surprised it's that this has been a

long time coming I've you know been talking to people for the last 24 hours about this

because this was the problem going all the way back actually to when

Roe v. Wade was a case when the decision was made was the injection of all the

evangelical groups a lot of Christian group, the Catholic groups,

everything that Phyllis Shafly sort of folded in in order to get her agenda across when it came to stopping

the ERA. And under under Reagan Reagan was not necessarily

Pro Life in the sense that we see this big movement you know in the radicals we see there were

kidnappings that were bombings. There were murders over the last 30 years when it came to abortion clinics and anybody who was deemed to be somebody who supported abortion.

You know, and for me this goes to, you know, the appointment of Clarence Thomas when nobody would believe, well not nobody,

but when Anita Hill's testimony was not
