Summary

In a move that is deeply damaging to the credibility and legitimacy of the US Supreme Court, the Court declined to stop an unconstitutional Texas law from going into effect. The Texas authorities passed a law saying a woman can not have an abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected - at about 6 weeks of the pregnancy - which directly violates the Supreme Court precedent of Roe v. Wade. In a very real sense, the Supreme Court is allowing the state of Texas to violate the constitutional rights of women. Here is an overview of what it all means and what the future danger is to the constitutional rights of all Americans.
