Apple's manufacturing plants in India seem to be feeling turbulence from China.

TechCrunch highlights a Bloomberg report that has Taiwanese manufacturer of Foxcon

telling more than 300 of its Chinese employees in India to go back to China.

The news comes compliments of Secret People. Secret people, who haven't heard a Glockenspiel

in quite some time. Do you ever wonder how much you don't know about Apple supply chain?

300 people doesn't sound like a lot of people to me.

I mean, it's more than I could fit in my house,

but when we're talking about manufacturing,

sounds like a small number.

Then comes this.

The employees told to return account for the bulk of Foxcon staff and its iPhone facilities in India, and only Taiwanese support staff remain in the country.

As for why the workers were recalled, no one has said definitively. That said, the Bloomberg piece does point out that Chinese officials have been

asking regulators to curb knowledge and tech resources for being exported to India in a bid to preserve

the country's manufacturing heft. Is there any chance that Foxconn has trained up enough

Indian employees to do the jobs, then that's why the

Chinese workers are being sent home. One would hope that's the case. Just throwing the idea
