Growing up I had always gone to church because I was told that you know that was the right thing to do.

I didn't really understand why, what it even meant to be a Christian and why I was

supposed to believe in God. My name is Kisha Liverpool.

After going to college, I explored like Hinduism and Buddhism

and before I came to the conclusion that I believed in God. I was a Christian, but I just

like completely wrote off church because of people and what the people did. In July of 2013 I made the decision to move to LA. I continued my

journey knowing that I believed in God but I still felt like something was missing and my coworker

She kept telling me about mosaic and every week she'd be like hey you need to just come to church with me just come to church I was like, I don't think I'm ready for that. But then in March, about two years ago, I was waiting for a bus and this guy came up to me and asked me if I heard of Mosaic and he gave me an invite card to Easter.

And I just thought it was really weird because my friend was telling me about this place and

then this random stranger came up to me so I felt like there was you know there was a reason it took

me a few more months to actually you know get the courage to go but then in October of 2017

I decided you know to give it a try.

Just driving in, it just felt so different, so welcoming. All the volunteers that I interacted with were so happy and so genuine.

I had never experienced anything like that,

so I knew that there was something special about this place,

and that's why I wanted to go back,

and I kept going back, and I knew that knew that like I wanted to start serving.

I found some of my closest friends through Mosaic in the short time that I started serving

and it's more than anything I could have ever asked for.

My name is David. I'm one of the pastors here at Mosaic. I have the privilege of leading in our South Past campus and I'm so glad to be here with you this morning in Hollywood.

We just returned. We returned from Beirut, Lebanon, we were there for about 10 days, maybe it was 7, it felt like 10,

but we were there with a team of Mosaic and we actually brought five out of our six campuses with us.
