I thought that my decision would have an impact into people around me. I believed in that,

but I never imagined that it would affect all the way to my family in Brazil.

My name is Marcos.

I've served in the worship team in Mosikvenez.

I'm from Brazil.

I moved to LA a year and a half ago more less and moved here for a job in advertising.

So I grew up in a religious family, got baptized as a kid, but I only really have my relationship with God and had an encounter with the creative

of the universe when I was 15.

I always felt this need of making a decision for my own and owning that choice and taking that step.

Then I had a conversation with Pastor Carlos.

He helped me understand that it's not just about me.

It's not about what I need to do, but it's

about what I get to do. And so I'm getting baptized today because I get to bring all the people

that are around me, all the relationships that I have into the conversation that I'm having with God.

The day that was chosen ended up to being the day after I was going to travel with my family. Fast forward we changed the flights and

then the family was here with me and I get a text from my dad. It was late at night and he said, hey, let's get into the water

together. And I knew that I knew that God was working somehow. I thought it was just me getting baptized but now it's me. It's my mom, it's my brother

and my dad getting baptized here in Mosaic Venice.

It was just that moment that everything came full circle

and I saw the intention of God of choosing this day, the 18th of May of 2009. of

of 2019 to celebrate my dad's life and to celebrate a new life with him for me and my mom and my
