Hey everybody, welcome in. My name is Chris, and I'm going to make some stuff here for your earbells.

Hello there, you children of the possum. Thank you so much for being here today. I hope you're doing well

for about an hour. I hope we can talk about silly stuff that doesn't matter and pretend it's super

important, which is both a good distraction and a way to feel connected

from me to you, from you to each other. I really do appreciate you all. We are officially

two weeks from football that counts. Today I'm recording is Thursday, August 22nd, and on

Thursday, September 5th, it'll be Ravens,

Chiefs, a rematch of the AFC title game from last year.

So over the next 14 days, oh boy, I know I'm going to have a lot of drafts coming.

We are officially in the thick of it.

We are trying to lay out our own draft strategies.

We're trying to intuit what our league mates might be thinking.

It is a very fun time for me.

The few leagues that you know about that I'm in,

we've got the Rain Wilson Des Borgias auction coming up on Monday of next week and then Thursday of next week,

the La Liga-Labowski Veterans Auction, where most players are kept, but a few have their

contracts run out and are available. So therefore, Cousin Josh gets to spend $1,000 on

Derek Henry this year, if you would like. Then the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, Large will draft the League of American Recreational

Gridiron Enthusiasts with the 16-team monster.

It's got a few keepers per team, but is otherwise mostly just redraft.
