Abe and I are taking advantage of the mild spring.

It's not spring?

Spring doesn't start until March 20th.

According to the meteorologists, spring began on March 1st.

The weather scientists of the world go by a little different calendar than the rest of us.

And I kind of like their calendar. So for me, spring began March 1st. So we are in it right now.

And it's feeling like it, which is nice. And so, Abe and I have been taking advantage of the warmer weather.

It's not exactly warm yet, but it is getting warmer.

And we've been going out for our late afternoon walk together.

And there is a big lake near the center of town, call it the Grand Lake.

And a couple of times now we've looped around the lake as part of our walk.

And yesterday afternoon was one of those times.

I'm not sure how often we're going to keep doing this because on the backside of the lake,

there's a stretch that's probably quarter mile, maybe even a half mile long,

where there are so many gnats.
