Music Hello, friends. Welcome back to the rabbit hole. As promised, this week we're talking about sunscreen because it's getting nice outside. And I don't know, like you gonna you're gonna go outside you're going to

sunburn right we all do it every single summer we go outside you get a nice solid like first

sunburn everybody's like oh yeah first sunburn the year right um and everyone's always hounding

sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen but is sunscreen like absolutely necessary? I don't know.

I mean, there absolutely are some benefits that we don't get sunburned if we put on sunscreen.

But like, why are we getting sunburned? Because like for years and years and years, our ancestors forever and ever,

they didn't wear sunscreen. And in fact, I have the history of sunscreen. It wasn't really,

like, fully introduced into the U.S. until, let's see here, like, 1944. We'll go over the whole history in just a second. But you know what I'm saying?

Like, that's pretty, that's relatively new. Less than 100 years old is the sunscreen.

So how come before 100 years ago we didn't need sunscreen when we were outside more? In fact, we were outside so much more. And now all of a

sudden we're inside all the time and we only go outside every now and then and we get sunburnt when we

go outside. Well, don't you worry because I'm here to tell you all about it. Let's start with the

history of sunscreen, right? So ultraviolet rays or UV rays were discovered by a German

scientist in 1801. That's, that's decent time ago, right? In 1932, so over 100 years later,
