current events, as promised last week. Here we are. Because there's a lot of weird things going on

in the world right now, so I thought, you know, what better time than to do a current events

episode? And I think with the summer coming, I want to do like a sunscreen episode because I have

recently been getting a lot of things on my Instagram about sunscreen and how it's harmful

and all the different things. So I haven't actually ever looked into that conspiracy theory.

I've heard about it, but I've never actually done any research. So that would be kind of interesting, although I'm looking at my window and it's

cold outside and snowing. So I don't know, like, is summer ever coming? Hopefully, because it's

been a really snowy winter around here. But we need it, of course. So anyway, on to current events. So you have the the u.s banking and the u.s. dollar

which might become an issue so the federal reserve is launching an instant payment service called

fed now and this is not the first time i've talked about this this service will officially launch in

twenty twenty three or excuse me, I like

completely left out the month. I know the month. It's July. But in my notes, I didn't write down

the month. And I was just reading right off my notes. This is why I try to wing it some of this

time, because I remember a lot of the research that I do even like I write it all down but

it just is in my head and so good thing but anyway so the system allows for bill payments money

transfers and other consumer activities with most transactions being settled within 60 seconds

so instead of having the wait I know like Venmo you have the instant, I know like Venmo, you have the instant

transfer option and Apple Pay as well. You have the instant transfer option or and you have to pay a fee for it

or you have to wait one to three business days for it to fully transfer and you don't have to pay a fee

for that. But this is saying like within 60 seconds, all transactions will be complete.
