I imagine you get all kinds of questions from all kinds of runners, but can you share

with us what you hear from someone that's looking to put their mark and build the resume

I'd say the number one question that I get is they want to know whether or not they are

capable to do the distance.

So they come to me and ask, you know, I really want to do a 50K.

I really want to run my first 50 mile or do you think that I can do it?

And so there is the discussion of, you know, on one hand, it's breaking down the athlete,

okay, tell me what you have done.

As you're running background and all of that.

But then it's discussing what their goals are and asking them why they think they can't

And I love that initial conversation with any athlete.

And you know, a lot of times it's, in many, this is why a lot of people seek out a coach.

They need someone that's going to motivate them, believe in them, and give them all the

And so I think we think of ultra, the ultra distances, people that don't do them, you

know, they all think that we're crazy.
