So good to see out today in the House of the Lord, and I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving

with friends and family, and we're going to continue that Thanksgiving theme around here this

morning. So this Wednesday, I'll be back in 1st Samuel. We'll hope to see you there. And then next

Sunday I'll be in the Gospel of John again. But for today, we're going to do something we've been doing

for the last several years, which is to take the Sunday after Thanksgiving just to give praise and thanks and

glory and honor to the Lord for all that he has been doing around here. And we just want you to be

able to join in in our joy and Thanksgiving for what the Lord has done. Let me tell you how

this started. And I say this

every year, but if you're new to Cornerstone, several years ago, I was having a lunch meeting with a

gentleman from our church. And he started to ask me questions about, and he wasn't being critical,

but he was just inquisitive. Like, why don't we do this? Why don't we do that? And so he said to me, Gary, because he was from England, so

this little British accent, he goes, Gary, I'm just curious. Like, why don't we have various

outreaches to the community? And I said, well, actually we do. And he went to, oh, I did not know.

And then he would ask me the next thing. And I said, well, actually, we do that too.

Oh, I did not know.

Now, it was no fault of his because he was actually very involved in the church.

It was my fault.

Because over the years, if I have aired on the side of, we're not going to really talk too much about what we do around here because

I just don't want to ever come across like we're patting ourselves in the back.

And I try to always walk that line of making sure God gets all the glory and we don't at all
