Amen and amen. And good morning and welcome. Don't sit down. Here's why. You can, you're

dismissed, Capona. Here's why, because we're going to get right to it. And I was just going

to ask you to stand anyway for the reading of God's word. So I didn't want you to have to sit down, stand up, sit down, stand up.

Like Capono just let us in worship.

Wasn't that the last song, Stand Up?

And so we're just following orders then.

Those of you joining us online, we're so glad that you are. This is

second service. It's our, well, it's the sermon. It's our verse by verse study through the Word

of God. We're currently in the Gospel of Mark. And last week we finished chapter 2. And so we're

going to pick it up in chapter three, the first six verses.

And if you don't want to remain standing, that's fine.

Where you're seated, you can take your seat, follow along.

But beginning in verse one, this is a contiguous narrative that Mark writes by the Holy Spirit. So there's no chapter breaks in the original

writing or manuscripts. So he goes on to write that another time, he speaking of Jesus, went into

the synagogue and a man with a shrivelled hand was there.

Some of them, verse 2, were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus.

So they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.

You know what he's going to do, don't you?

Verse 3, Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, stand up in front of everyone.

See, he's following orders too, Capone.

Then Jesus asked them, you know, the ones that were watching him closely, just waiting

for a reason to accuse him of healing on the Sabbath.
