Amen. This morning, we're continuing with our series to the book of Joshua. Our text for today is Joshua

chapter 10, verses 29 through 43. Again, that's Joshua chapter 10 versus 39 or 29 through 43. Let's go ahead and

stand now to show reverence to God and how he is chosen to reveal himself in holy scripture. I'll read our text for us

in its entirety when I finish reading the text. I'm going to say, this is the word of the Lord,

at which point I would appreciate very much if you would respond by saying thanks be to God.

One more time, our text for today is Joshua chapter 10, verses 29 through 43, the Bible says this.

Then Joshua and all Israel with him passed on from the Ceda to Libna and fought against

Libna, and the Lord gave it also and its king into the hand of Israel, and he struck it with

the edge of the sword, and every person in it. He left none remaining in it. And he did to its

king as he had done to the king of Jericho. Then Joshua and all Israel with him passed on from

Limna to Lakhish and laid siege to it and fought against it. And the Lord gave Lakish into the hand

of Israel and he captured it on the second day and struck

it with the edge of the sword and every person in it, as he had done to Libna.

Then Horm, king of Gyser, came up to help Lakish, and Joshua struck him and his people

until he left none remaining.

Then Joshua and all Israel with him passed on from

Lakesh to Eglon, and they laid siege to it and fought against it, and they captured it on that day,

and struck it with the edge of the sword, and he devoted every person in it to destruction that day,

as he had done to Lakers. Then Joshua and all Israel with him went up from

Eglon to Hebron, and they fought against it, and captured it, and struck it with the edge of the sword

and its king and its towns, and every person in it. He left none of it remaining, as he had done

with Eglon, and he devoted it to destruction and every person in it.
