Welcome to our Rosary Meditation.

After all of the amazing holy sites in which we've been privileged to pray the

Rosary it seems a little bit odd to be praying the rosary from my living room, but at the same time,

there's no place like home.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

And let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

I find that during the summer people find it hard to maintain the spiritual practices

that they held throughout the year. In some ways we tend to take a vacation from the practices of

our spiritual life I think primarily because we get out of our routines and even though summer is a wonderful time to take our foot off the gas pedal a little bit, relax, enjoy.

There's never a time to take a vacation from God because union with God, our deep friendship with God is the

ultimate source of happiness.

So today's meditation is dedicated to our vigilance in our spiritual practices

for this summer.

Most importantly, daily meditation,

that is setting aside a specific time and place and a specific amount of time to spend in

silence and solitude talking to God from the heart, but then reading

scripture or some meditation

on the word of God,

some writing of a saint or from the church,

and then reflecting on what you've been reading, but not just for information or to learn,

but to listen to the voice of God speaking through it.
