You know, this is the official introduction to Shadow Love Summer Camp.

Shadow Love Summer Camp starts now.

And I thought it would be fun to kick things off with three summer popcorn movies that actually feature the shadow, the human shadow, the youngian shadow.

I actually think most movies, if you pay attention, you can watch it from the perspective of the shadow, looking for all the different

ways that the human shadow shows up in stories about humans. Often it is projected on to the

antagonist or the villain. So sometimes the hero is just very, very, very pure and his shadow is

externalized. And then other times in more sophisticated movies or quiet indie movies, it's more

of an internal thing like it is typically in our own lives.

The first of these three movies has to be Raiders of the Lost Ark because, much to my surprise,

Indiana Jones stepped up to be my guide for Shadow Love Summer Camp.
