Summary

As the Lakers wrap up summer league play, we have gotten good looks at several of the team's young prospects and learned more about their strengths, weaknesses, and where they continue to grow towards becoming real contributors at the NBA level. Pete, Mike, and Darius discuss what they've seen so far, diving into Max's growth as an on-ball player, Jalen Hood-Schifino's work in the P&R and how it contrasts to his challenges in isolation vs. switches, Maxwell Lewis' intriguing skill set and the realities of his learning curve at this level, the offensive pop of both D'Moi Hodge and Colin Castleton, and much more.

You have the star of the team, Max Christie, the second year player, the pick from last year,

who everybody hoped would kind of take a step forward and I really thought did over the course of the summer league.

0:48.9

Then the picks from this season, Jalen Hood-Shafino, our first rounder, and then Maxwell Lewis in the second

round. And then our two-way guys, the new ones, especially in Des Mojage and Colin Castleton. And so

1:00.4

those are the guys I kind of want to focus on in today's pod. And the team's record, as we record

1:06.9

this is two and four over the course of Summer League. We'll see if they win their last

1:11.1

game or not. I think the top end talent is actually a little more encouraging than the record

1:15.3

will kind of indicate. I think we're a really small roster. And so once other Summer League

1:20.8

teams just started figuring out, oh, we can just go through those guys, then things got very

1:25.9

difficult in terms of wins and losses. But I'd love to start with

Max. Mike, you were in Summer League. You're a big Max Christie fan, as we all are, but he's
