Some of this week is going to feel repetitive, but there's a strategy behind that. And I think that it's important, even in the way that we use

this color method of study and we're studying the same passage of scripture over and over,

I want to use the model that Jesus did. I want to sit here until we get it. And so I pray that

you would work through this week and that you don't mind, repetitiveness. And like I said, I had

originally written this as one study, but I divided up into two weeks because there's so much

parallel between Martha and Mary. But this week as we study Mary, I want you to hone in on her

posture as a disciple. We are continuing our devotional reflection from each week of

the She Here's Bible study, and we are going to be focusing in on Mary of Bethany. Again,

the She Hears Bible study is available at she hears.org or wherever books are sold. So we're going to be

in John, chapter 12, verses 1 through 8 this week.

Starting at verse 1. Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived,

whom Jesus had raised from the dead. Here a dinner was given in Jesus' honor. Martha served,

while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. Then Mary took about a pint of pure

nard, an expensive perfume, and she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair.
