Yeah, and we're really lucky to have an amazing guest today, Matt Fred, from the Pines of

Aquinas podcast to tell us so many cool things that you've never heard about the angelic

doctor.

Now, I don't know if you've heard this or not, but the rumor is is that he was a chubby,

fat priest, and they had to cut out a circle in his table, and he would just eat and study.

But I also heard that he was a very slender band and austere. So let's find out more

about Thomas Aquinas.

I can't think of a better saint to dive into than St Thomas Aquinas, one of the most

prolific writers in the Catholic church. Somebody that a lot of Catholics can benefit

from knowing more about.

And Matt, I have to say your work specifically with Aquinas is impressive. You are a perfect

person to have on the show to talk about St Thomas Aquinas. But there's a lot of things

that are kind of misappropriated when it comes to him that he was like a glutton almost.

But his austere practices is something that's really held up very highly in church tradition.

And I remember learning that at Ave Maria University. I can't wait to hear more about that.
