Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Catholic Talk Show.

Today, we're talking with Father Richard Pugano, and we're discussing seven reasons being a Catholic priest is actually awesome.

And I've got to tell you, personal experience, I would entrate the priesthood for the world. Let me tell you why.

Alright, welcome back everyone, Father Rich. It's just you and I today, we're flying solo more or less.

And there's one person who is flying right now, and that's Ryan from Cross.

That's right, because he missed his flight. He was supposed to be back in time, so he missed his flight.

So it's just going to be the two of us here, which is, she's alright. So, Father Rich, from my understanding, you're a priest, right?

Last time I checked, yes, even though there is a suspicious guy on our comment section that thinks I am not a priest, but no, indeed, I have been ordained validly by three bishops in the diocese of St. Augustine. Yes, I am an ordained Catholic priest.

How's that working out for you?

Dude, I'm from the bottom of my heart, especially after Lent into the Trotoam, celebrating Easter within the octave, focusing on Divine Mercy Sunday.

I'm a little tired, but I am overjoyed at the privilege of being a priest. I could not be happier or more engaged, especially right now in the most solemn liturgies of the whole year.

You know, we did an episode in the past, the worst things about being a priest, right? Where you got to share some of the challenges that the priesthood brings, but we thought, you know, it'd be good to talk about the positive aspects, because the positive aspects far outweigh any challenges and any vocation in life, whether you're married, whether you're celibate, whether you're a priest, whether you're a doctor or a baker or whatever it is, there any vocation is going to have challenges.

But what we want to focus on are really the fruits and the joys of the priesthood today. And I think it's something that if you are a young man or maybe you have a family member who's considering and asserting a vocation, here's some of the reasons that that life really is something joyful, awesome, and something to really consider.

If you're a young woman, a lot of these things will apply too. So this is about why discerning a religious life and particularly being a priest actually is a great vocation, a great life that more people should consider.

It's so true. And she'll, I've got to say, you know, the reasons, you know, the things that drive me crazy as a priest, it was a fun episode. We had a great time with it.

But, you know, like you said, the greater fruits of my life and my day in and day out, it's so far more superior, you know, and what drives my priesthood every day is the fruits of joy.

And the joy is that my communion with Christ has called me to the state of celibacy, to fatherhood, and to celebrate the sacraments, the mysteries of the faith.
