So Westminster is reeling from day two of finding out that Sue Gray,

the senior civil servant, will be joining Keir Starmer as chief of staff

provided the process to approve that appointment as goes through.

Katie, how has the reaction been in the last 24 hours?

Or less than actually?

Fiery?

So news first broke earlier this week that it was being considered.

And I think since the news has broken in a way, I think it's fairly predictable what's happened.

In the sense, the Tory party has seen red, I think MPs across the spectrum

in terms of the various factions are troubled by this appointment,

saying what to say about impartiality.

And the fact that it's such a sudden move if it is approved,

there are some calls from Tory MPs for receiving to block it.

There's some humour in it.

I think Sue Gray and her role has made quite a few enemies in her time.
