Summary

It's been an interesting week in the race for the leadership of the SNP. Kate Forbes's campaign has been plunged into fresh doubt by the news that her husband attended a private Tory hustings, whilst Douglas Ross has been forced to apologise after swearing during First Minister's Questions. We also had the first televised hustings, but who came out on top?

Michael Simmons speaks to Fraser Nelson, Katy Balls and Stephen Daisley.

Produced by Oscar Edmondson.

Hello, I'm Michael Simmons and this is Coffee House Scots.

1:18.0

And Mike Russell, the S&B president, has also questioned my Scottish credentials.

1:31.0

But what can I say? I've lived abroad, but I am and will be while I breathe, a Scotsman.

1:37.0

Fair enough, we'll take that as a pass.

1:39.0

Now, Katie, there's a story that is just dropped about Kate Forbes. Can you take us through that?

1:44.0

Yes, so this is the daily record, which has been running, I think, fair to say, probably more negative Kate Forbes stories and positive Kate Forbes stories.
