We begin this podcast in Sudan where there is no let up in the violence

with shelling and gunfire continuing throughout the night.

It comes as diplomatic pressure is being stepped up to end the fighting

between the Sudanese Army and the paramilitary group rapid support forces.

Earlier this morning, the RSF agreed to a three day pause in the fighting on humanitarian grounds.

But as of yet, there's no comment from the army.

At least 300 people have been killed and many have been trapped in their homes for days.

Dali Abdul Monium is in the capital cartoon and ventured outside for the first time in almost a week ahead of the upcoming Eid holiday.
