Fighting in Sudan is continuing despite the announcement of a three-day

truce by the Army and the paramilitary group RSF.

A British politician, Dominic Rob, criticises civil servants after resigning his deputy

prime minister over bullying claims. Peru's former president Alejandro Toledo is to be

extradited from the US to face corruption charges.

The latest big shake-up at Twitter and what it means for the future of the social media platform.

We start in Sudan where there's been an escalation in fighting despite calls for a ceasefire

to mark the Muslim holiday of Idhul-Fitr. Gumpfire and explosions have again been heard across

the capital, Khartoum. At least 400 people have been killed in a week of fighting between the army

and its rival, the paramilitary rapid support forces. The BBC's Muhammad Osman is in Khartoum,

one of only a few journalists reporting from a city where five million inhabitants are living

in fear.
