And I've said for many years I think anyone should be able to legally immigrate

to the United States so long as they open up a cool ethnic restaurant.

You might ask, what if a terrorist slips in?

To which I reply, well, how tasty is their food?

If it's super tasty, yeah, I'll take that risk.

On this show and others, we tend to focus on the big picture immigration stuff, the macro issues.

Is immigration good or bad?

Is it a net benefit or a net drag?

How much immigration do we want? How much immigration can the United States

sustain? Does it suppress wages? And so forth. This week, I'm more interested in

the nuts and bolts of immigration.

What do you actually have to do to immigrate?

How hard is it?

Is it like at a deli where you take a number and then you wait until your salami is called?

Or is it more like bingo?

Where they call out a random number and eventually my Aunt Lydia sucker punches a blue-haired woman in the parking lot.
