What inspired you to write this book at this time in your life?

Well, I didn't set out to write a book. I had set myself a challenge on New Year's Eve

20 to sketch a shoe a day from my archive because the pace of fashion is very fast, you know,

it's a real thirst for newness, it's one season to the next, and I have an art background. I didn't come into fashion. I didn't grow up loving

fashion. It was more art and I sort of fell into shoes. So for me, my shoes are like little works of art and I approached them as I would

a piece of art. So sketching each shoe a day was like a I started as a bit of a mindfulness challenge

but as I was going and drawing these shoes different memories just kept coming to me memories of inspiration

stories behind the shoes you know just the experience of being a young entrepreneur and the roller coaster of what that is.

Yeah, all these memories just started popping up and it was almost like putting a bit of a jigsaw together and I
