I heard this wonderful true story of a man based in New Jersey in the mid-1950s and had to share it with you.

Okay, my friends? There was a man who was applying for a job at a

school as a janitor and it all looked good. He was in, They liked him. And he just said very openly, I just want you to know that I can't read all right. I work really hard, but I can't read all right. And the school, based on that information, didn't hire him.

They hired somebody else.

This man had a friend who owned a cigar business

and his friend wanted to help him out and he said look why don't you sell

cigars for me what do you think of that? So the man said yes in need of a job and

he did so well selling cigars that he managed to save and look this was years ago

$30,000 right that means so much more in this day and age.

And his friend helped him because he couldn't even go to the bank and deposit his money,

so his friend filled out the forms and helped him deposit it,

so he had this saving accrued of $30,000 in the 1950s. Anyway one day he went to

withdraw some money and he said to the bank teller look I can I can't read all right, but this is me.

Can I withdraw this amount of money?

And she said, wow, you've saved $30,000 and you can't read all right.

Where would you be if you could read and write? Where would you be if you could read and write? And he said, well, I guess I'd be the janitor at the school? Why do I love this story so much?

A couple of reasons.

Number one, every single job has its worth no matter what the job is right all jobs are

valuable and important but when you think about it clearly this man was a good

salesman he was good at selling cigars during that era especially.
