I would like to share with you today an ad that I saw that was very powerful. It was for a UK

0:18.2

mental health organization and I saw that it had been viewed millions of times and shared a lot and I thought,

0:27.0

aha, this is hitting a nerve and striking a chord because it's true and we need to be conscious of this. In the ad put simply there are two men at what looks to be like a football game or a soccer game.

0:40.0

And one is, you know, look, he's clearly supporting his friend who's struggling. He's cheerful, he's joyful, he wants to engage his friend, who seems withdrawn, he looks sad, he doesn't seem engaged in life. He's biting his nails.

1:47.0

appearance. If they appear joyful, everything must be going great. If they're even

1:50.4

a bit withdrawn, they must be struggling.

1:54.6

We simply don't know what's going on inside of a person.

1:59.6

Just because someone presents a certain way or appears strong or appears

2:02.5

happy and cheerful and is engaging in caring about others outwardly, we don't

2:08.2

know what's going on within them.

2:16.0

So maybe a thought that we could share together today is, are we checking in on the people,

2:19.0

not just the people who are open about their struggles

2:22.0

or the people who we know are going through
