Summary

Part 5 from the series, "Sabbath" as part of Practicing the Way. We live in a 24/7 culture of endless productivity, workaholism, distraction, burnout, and anxiety--a way of life to which we've sadly grown accustomed. This tired system of "life" ultimately destroys our souls, our bodies, our relationships, our society, and the rest of God's creation. The whole world grows exhausted because humanity has forgotten to enter into God's rest.

I have three grandfathers that were a part of World War II. One of my grandfathers

And Pearl Harbor happened and my grandpa had to decide whether he was going to

1:17.9

go live his dream and play basketball or go fight in the war. And so many men in his

1:21.7

generation, people, men and women in their generation, what did they do? They gave

1:24.1

up their dreams to go do what was right. In one of my other grandfathers, Grandpa Rudy,

1:31.4

he built these huge long strips on islands so that planes could land. He was called a CB.

1:41.3

My other grandpa, Frank, crazy Frank, he flew planes and my grandpa, Frank, was the guy

1:50.0

who literally, he was the guy when the war ended and they captured him, who was eight
