I was told a long time ago that it's commonly taught in seminary these days to just forget Bible prophecy.

Stay as far away from Bible prophecies you can get because it'll split the church.

That's the common belief and indeed it will.

You can go into an ordinary congregation and preach on prophecy and you'll get

some raging disputes about what's true in this series of teachings on the Blessed Hope. We discussed

the Day of Christ. And I'm sure many of you will remember that, how in Second Thessalonians,

how in a couple of places in Philippians first

Corinthians the term day of Christ is used and when used to describe a particular series of

events it always refers to the rapture of the church and not the day of the Lord as commonly

interpreted in the Old Testament we also not the day of the Lord as commonly interpreted in the Old Testament.

We also discussed the language of 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2.
