I'm going to backtrack a little bit today.

Let's go to Hebrews 912.

The beauty of the epistle to the Hebrews, and I say it over and over again, is that we

get to listen in on a conversation between a messenger from God and the leaders of the

temple.

Back in AD 68 when this letter was written, it was written for all time.

As a record, by the way, of something eternal.

Not of something temporary, but something on an eternal basis,

the eternality of which we cannot even imagine, because we are creatures trapped in time. We don't understand what an eternal oath is. One of these

days we will. Starting in Hebrews 912, we've been through this before, but I wanted to cover a couple

of things. Neither by the blood of goats this before, but I wanted to cover a couple of things.

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, he entered once into the holy

place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. The important word in that is the word once.

And in the Greek language, it says once for all time, or once covering everything, a one-time thing,

a one-time deal, as we might say in English.

Having obtained eternal redemption, and the word eternal there reflects our redemption.

If you have been redeemed, you are eternally redeemed. Period. End of conversation.

You're not going to lose your salvation. Assuming you have your salvation, it's eternal.
